Our Story
The DRINK Roast Experience
Drink Roast is a neighborhood coffee concept founded in 2017 in Birmingham, Michigan. Since opening our first café, we have grown into a collection of designed locations across Metro Detroit, each with its own atmosphere and the same commitment to quality.
Through our collaboration with Kuppa Joy Roasters, we proudly serve high-quality beans roasted in Yosemite Valley, bringing a distinct West Coast influence and a rich, refined flavor to every cup.
Each café features our signature black-and-copper design, seating, lounge areas, and seasonal patios, creating a welcoming place to meet, work, relax, and stay awhile.

Where are your locations?
You’ll find Drink Roast in three Metro Detroit spots: Birmingham Roast (525 E. Brown St), Royal Oak Roast (25070 Woodward Ave), and Plymouth Roast (110 Ann Arbor Rd W). All open daily, 7am–7pm. Scroll to Locations for directions.
Whose beans do you serve?
We partner with Kuppa Joy Roasters, roasted in the heart of Yosemite Valley. It’s a distinct West Coast profile — rich, refined, and made for coffee connoisseurs.
Do you serve food, too?
Absolutely. Alongside signature brews we serve breakfast (avocado toast, breakfast burritos, challah French toast), lunch (paninis, wraps, salads, açaí bowls), and sides. There’s something for every part of the day.
Can I buy coffee to brew at home?
Yes — shop whole-bean coffee like The Fire and Decaf, plus tumblers and gift cards through drinkroast @ Home. Roasted in Yosemite Valley, brewed on your counter.
Do you offer catering?
We do! Each location caters through its own partner — reach out via the Partnerships form in our Contact section and our team will put together a package for your event or office.
